Found Poetry has been described as the literary equivalent of a collage.

Found poems take existing texts, such as newspaper articles, street signs, letters, books or poems, and choose words and phrases to pick out and make a completely new piece from. Creating a found poem is almost like going on a treasure hunt. Just about anything can be a source for a found poem, even spoken words. (This information is from Poets.org.)
